Your contract library, answered instantly
Stop spending hours manually searching contracts. Docutrix gives in-house legal teams and law firms cited AI answers across every document in their library — in seconds.
The old way vs. Docutrix
Manually searching 200-page contracts for a single clause
Ask 'What are the termination conditions?' and get the answer with a page reference.
Emailing colleagues to find out which template was used
Ask 'Which NDA version covers this deal?' — Docutrix finds it.
Missing renewal deadlines buried in contract terms
Ask 'Which contracts auto-renew in Q1?' — get a list with document citations.
Inconsistent answers when multiple people search the same docs
Everyone asks the same question and gets the same cited answer.
Built for legal work
Legal Context mode
Docutrix understands the difference between indemnity, warranty, and limitation of liability clauses. It understands governing law provisions, force majeure language, and jurisdiction-specific legal terms.
Cited answers to every question
Every response links to the exact document and page number. Forward the citation to a colleague or use it in a review memo — no manual cross-referencing required.
Cross-document queries
Ask a question across your entire document library. 'Which of our supplier contracts include uncapped liability?' — Docutrix queries all indexed documents and returns matches with citations.
Document access controls
Restrict which documents each team member can access. Board resolutions, M&A materials, and privileged documents stay visible only to authorised users. Available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Questions legal teams ask Docutrix
Each answered with a citation to the source document and page number.
How it works for legal teams
Upload, ask, verify. No tagging, folder taxonomy or prompt engineering required.
- 1
Upload your contracts
Add signed contracts, templates and negotiation playbooks as PDF or Word (.docx) files, or connect SharePoint or Google Drive on Business and Enterprise plans. Indexing usually completes within a few minutes, with no manual tagging.
- 2
Ask in plain language
Select the Legal context and ask the way you would ask a colleague: "What notice is required to terminate the Acme MSA for convenience?" Ask about one agreement or across the whole library.
- 3
Verify the citation
Every answer cites the document and page it came from. Click through and read the clause yourself before it goes into a memo or an email. If the answer isn't in your documents, Docutrix says so instead of guessing.
Documents legal teams upload
Start with the agreements and templates your team is asked about every week.
- Master services agreements, SaaS agreements and order forms
- NDAs and your standard confidentiality templates
- Supplier, vendor and customer contracts
- Negotiation playbooks and approved standard positions
- Signed precedents used to onboard new lawyers
- Due diligence bundles for M&A or vendor review
- Regulatory and compliance documents
Getting started in your first week
A simple rollout that gets useful answers in front of the team quickly.
- 1Start your free trial and upload your standard templates plus the contracts your team is asked about most often.
- 2Invite colleagues from Settings → Team and give each person a Member or Admin role.
- 3On Business or Enterprise, restrict privileged, board and M&A documents to the people who should see them before you widen access.
- 4Run your recurring questions (limitation of liability, termination notice, auto-renewal windows) and check each citation against the source clause.
- 5Add the rest of the library, or connect SharePoint or Google Drive so updated contracts are re-indexed automatically.
- 6Expect a few weeks for the habit to stick: the shift is reaching for a question instead of a keyword search.
Security for privileged and confidential documents
Contracts and privileged material need tighter controls than most documents. Here's what applies.
Your contracts never train AI models
Docutrix does not use your documents, queries or answers to train, fine-tune or improve AI models, on any plan. It is a contractual commitment.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
Documents, embeddings and metadata are encrypted at rest with AES-256, and all traffic uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
Access enforced at query time
On Business and Enterprise plans, admins restrict document collections to specific users or teams. A user cannot get answers drawn from documents they are not authorised to see.
Enterprise deployment options
Enterprise adds data residency options, a private LLM in your VPC or your own model, on-premise or dedicated hosting, and an Enterprise SLA and DPA.

Frequently asked questions
Can Docutrix review contracts for us?
Docutrix finds and surfaces what your contracts say, with a citation to the document and page for every answer. It does not replace legal judgment: whether a term is acceptable, or whether to approve a deviation from your standard position, is still a decision for your lawyers.
Which file types can we upload?
PDF and Word (.docx) files up to 50 MB each. On Business and Enterprise plans you can also connect SharePoint or Google Drive, including Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Password-protected files and scanned PDFs without OCR text can't be indexed.
Can we keep privileged or M&A documents restricted?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise plans. Admins can limit document collections to specific users or teams, and the rules are enforced at query time, so restricted documents never appear in another user's answers.
Is our contract data used to train AI?
No. Docutrix does not use your documents, queries or answers to train or improve AI models on any plan. Enterprise plans include a Data Processing Agreement and the option of a private LLM in your own VPC.
What does the Legal Industry Context do?
It is one of four Industry Contexts (Legal, Finance, HR & People and Engineering). It understands contract structures and provision hierarchies, distinguishes indemnity, warranty and limitation of liability clauses, and covers common law and civil law frameworks.
Which plan suits an in-house legal team?
Starter (2 users, 100 pages indexed) is enough to try Docutrix on a handful of agreements. Pro covers 10 users and 10,000 pages. Business adds access controls, SharePoint and Google Drive integrations and the Team Admin Panel. Starter, Pro and Business each come with a 30-day free trial.
