Built for financial work

Finance Context mode

Understands IFRS and GAAP accounting standards, financial statement structures, regulatory filing formats (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), and investment document conventions.

Multi-document analysis

Query across all quarterly and annual reports simultaneously. Compare disclosures, track metrics over time, or identify inconsistencies across filings.

Cited answers with page references

Every answer links to the exact document, section, and page. Useful for building investment memos, board presentations, or compliance documentation.

Secure document storage

Confidential financial documents — board materials, M&A due diligence, cap tables — are encrypted at rest with AES-256. On Business and Enterprise plans, access controls restrict them to the right people.

Questions finance teams ask Docutrix

Each answered with a citation to the source document, section, and page.

"What is the EBITDA guidance for FY2025 in the investor deck?"
"Summarise the top 5 risk factors from the annual report."
"Are there any covenant breaches flagged in the audit report?"
"What was the YoY revenue growth in Q3 vs Q2?"
"What are the cash conversion assumptions in the financial model?"
"Does the credit agreement include a material adverse change clause?"

How it works for finance teams

Upload, ask, verify. No tagging, folder taxonomy or prompt engineering required.

  1. 1

    Upload your reports and agreements

Add annual reports, filings, credit agreements and board packs as PDF or Word (.docx) files. Investor decks can be uploaded as PDFs, or synced as Google Slides through the Google Drive integration on Business and Enterprise plans. Indexing usually completes within a few minutes.

  2. 2

Ask the question you'd ask an analyst

Select the Finance context and ask in plain language: "How is Consolidated EBITDA defined in the credit agreement?" Ask about a single document or across every quarter at once.

  3. 3

Check the number against the source

Each answer cites the document and page it came from, so you can confirm a figure in seconds before it goes into a working paper, board pack or investor memo.

Documents finance teams upload

Start with the documents your team references most frequently and build from there.

  • Annual reports and regulatory filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)
  • Credit agreements, covenant schedules and defined terms
  • Board packs and management accounts
  • Budgets, forecasts and actual-vs-budget reports
  • Investor decks, analyst reports and earnings call transcripts
  • Investment memoranda and due diligence data rooms
  • Audit reports and financial statements prepared under IFRS or GAAP

Getting started in your first week

A simple rollout that gets useful answers in front of the team quickly.

  1. 1Start your free trial with the documents your team references most: the current credit agreement, the latest annual report and recent board packs.
  2. 2Invite the team from Settings → Team and assign Member or Admin roles.
  3. 3On Business or Enterprise, restrict management accounts, board materials and M&A documents to the relevant people; public filings can stay broadly visible.
  4. 4Ask your recurring questions (covenant levels, cure periods, guidance disclosures) and verify each cited figure against the original page.
  5. 5Connect SharePoint or Google Drive so new quarters are picked up automatically, or upload each new report as it lands.
  6. 6Build out the library based on the questions the team actually asks, not everything at once.

Security for confidential financial documents

Board materials, deal documents and management accounts need strict handling. Here's what applies.

Confidential data never trains AI models

Docutrix does not use your documents, queries or answers to train, fine-tune or improve AI models, on any plan. It is a contractual commitment.

Encrypted at rest and in transit

Documents, embeddings and metadata are encrypted at rest with AES-256, and all traffic uses TLS 1.2 or higher.

Restrict board and deal materials

On Business and Enterprise plans, admins limit document collections to specific users or teams. Access is enforced at query time, so restricted figures never surface in someone else's answer.

Every query is logged

AI queries are logged with timestamps, user identifiers and document references, which helps when you need to show who looked at what.

Frequently asked questions

Can Docutrix search financial statements and credit agreements?

Yes. Upload them as PDF or Word files and ask in plain language. The Finance Industry Context improves accuracy on IFRS and GAAP terminology, financial ratios and credit agreement structures, and every answer cites the document and page.

Is AI document search reliable enough for financial data?

It is reliable for retrieval: finding what the document says. You should still check any figure against the original before it goes into board materials or external reporting. Cited answers make that check take seconds rather than minutes.

Can we upload PowerPoint investor decks?

Direct uploads support PDF and Word (.docx). Save the deck as a PDF before uploading, or keep it in Google Slides and connect Google Drive on a Business or Enterprise plan, where Slides are synced and indexed as PDFs.

Can Docutrix compare figures across several reports?

Yes. Ask a question across every indexed document at once, for example how a metric has trended over the last four quarterly reports, and each figure in the answer is cited to its source.

Who can see board packs and M&A documents?

By default, documents are visible to all workspace members. On Business and Enterprise plans, admins can restrict collections to specific users or teams, and access is enforced every time a question is asked.

Which plan suits a finance team?

Starter (2 users, 100 pages indexed) is enough to test Docutrix on a few documents. Pro covers 10 users and 10,000 pages. Business adds access controls, SharePoint and Google Drive integrations and 50,000 pages. Starter, Pro and Business each come with a 30-day free trial.
